Water Compute is an independent research practice. We are building The UK Data Centre Water Index by Water Compute: a public, sourced, site-by-site view of planned UK data centre water demand, heat-rejection design and Water Resource Zone position, with every figure traced to a planning document or operator disclosure and every estimate shown as a range.
The Index is scheduled for publication in October 2026. The methodology is being reviewed by an independent water-resources professional before any site-level figure is published, and every operator named will be sent their draft entry in advance.
Water Compute is a commercial practice. Alongside the free public Index it will offer planning-stage water deliverability assessments. Every commercial relationship will be listed on this site, and Index entries, labels and scores are identical for clients and non-clients.
